These rods were rigorously tested with anglers who fish for big fish with jigs and the results were great. St Croix Rift Jig Conventional Rods are constructed with St Croix SCIII carbon fiber material that makes the blank strong yet light in weight. They are outfitted with Alconite guides which are made for braided fishing lines and feature graphite reel seats with stainless steel hoods. The EVA rear and fore grips are both comfortable and functional. St Croix even added in a little bit of flair by using lighter colored EVA rings in the grips. The rear grips are long so you can tuck them under your arm while jigging and all models feature a gimbal so if you need a belt it works great.
